Our Latest Client Project

Janine revisits The Hub Preschool and Early Learning Academy Rutherford NSW Australia

STEPPING STONES Professional Development for ECEs has been invited a few times to lead the team at The Hub Preschool and Early Learning Academy at their beautiful Rutherford NSW Australia Location in professonal development and reflective practices. This beautiful, purpose built service is nestled in the natural elements of Rutherford, NSW and the team have been welcoming and excited to come together to network, collaborate, reflect and engage in professional growth.

This specific evening, we gathered together as committed educators and early childhood teachers to discuss what an inclusive learning environment looked like. Focus was placed on topics such as brain development of young children, how development and trauma impact children's ability to develop the skills necessary to regulate their behaviours. The conversations and workshop guided the reflective practice, sharing important information and highlighting the role that we, the educators and teachers have in the environment. The consenses is that all educators and teachers in early learning services, need to take a more proactive approach, and make sure they are getting off the edge of the sand pit and get into the sand pit with the children.

It was exciting as a trainer and the writer of this workshop, one very close to my heart, see how the team at Rutherford saw the tools and strategies as something they could effectively implement within their classrooms, adding to the strategies they are already implementing in order to positively guide children's behaviours and create an inclusive learning environment for all.

Guiding Behaviours: Embedding inclusive practices

So many services are facing children that need additional support in regulating their emotions and guiding their behaviours. We at STEPPING STONES Professional Development are so excited to be working with amazing services, such as the Rutherford team, and make a difference in young children's lives. If you feel our team could benefit from looking at different ways to support your service, team, families and children, please don't hesitiate to reach out to Janine and discuss the opportunity to engage in a service wide training workshop.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to enhance your skills and make a positive impact on the children in your care.
