Presenter Applications for the 2026 Conference Have Now Closed
Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in presenting at the STEPPING STONES Online Conference 2026: Connection at the Heart of Practice. Applications have now been reviewed, and our presenter line-up is being finalised. We invite you to continue exploring the conference vision and check back for future opportunities to collaborate with STEPPING STONES Professional Development.
Conference Theme:
Connection at the Heart of Practice
Exploring connection, regulation, reflective practice, and intentional pedagogy in early childhood education.
At the heart of quality early childhood practice are the relationships we build with children, families, colleagues, and communities. This conference explores how connection shapes learning, wellbeing, behaviour, leadership, and professional growth.
This year's conference explores how connection influences every aspect of practice through our conference framework:
CONNECT • REGULATE • GUIDE • REFLECT
Presentations must align with one or more areas of the framework:
Connect
Exploring relationships, belonging, partnerships, and relationship-centred pedagogy.
Regulate
Supporting emotional wellbeing, co-regulation, behaviour guidance, and emotionally safe environments.
Guide
Intentional teaching, responsive interactions, curriculum decision-making, and supporting children's learning and development.
Reflect
Reflective practice, leadership, critical reflection, and continuous improvement.
Possible presentation topics may include:
• Relationship-centred pedagogy
• Connection and co-regulation
• Reflective practice and leadership
• Intentional teaching and learning
Presenter Information
The selected presenter will:
• Deliver a live online presentation via Zoom on 24 October 2026
• Participate in a pre-conference recording session
• Have their presentation available to conference participants for 30 days following the event
• Receive a presenter fee of $200
• Receive complimentary access to the full conference• Presentations may be delivered as either a presentation or an interactive workshop.
• The successful presenter will be asked to share the event on their social media each week in the month of October leading up to the conference.
Submission Details
Applications will be reviewed as they are received. STEPPING STONES Professional Development for ECEs reserves the right to identify and confirm a suitable presenter prior to the closing date if an outstanding application is received.
The successful applicant will be contacted by email and offered the presenter position. The applicant will be required to confirm their acceptance within 7 days of receiving the offer.
All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application no later than 20 July 2026.
